Users and Roles
Who is a user?
A user is someone who can access your Vikra Seller organization. You can invite multiple users to your Vikra Seller organization.
What is a role?
A role is the level of access that a user has in your Vikra Seller organization. There is a default Admin role that has all the accesses. However, you can restrict access to modules and information by creating custom roles.
Add User
When you create a Vikra Seller organization, you become the Admin by default. You can add users with different user roles. Here’s how:
- Click the Gear icon in the top right corner of the page.
- Click Users.
- Click Invite User.
- Enter the Name and Email Address of the user you want to invite to the organisation.
- Choose a role that you wish to provide the user.
- Click Save & Continue.
A email with the invitation link will be sent to the user’s email address. Once they click the link, they will become an Active user of the organisation.
Edit User
After adding the user, you can edit their data if required. Here’s how:
- Go to Settings.
- Click Users.
- Select the user by clicking their name.
- Click Edit.
- After updating the information, click Save.
Custom Role
Apart from the standard Admin role in Vikra Seller, you can also add new roles with custom permissions. These roles are called Custom Roles.
To add a custom role:
- Go to Settings. and navigate to Roles.
- Click + New.
- Enter a Role Name.
- Select the modules and the level of access you want to provide for the role.
- Click Save.
You can then assign this role to existing users by editing them or select this role when creating new users.
Mark User as Inactive
Sometimes, you would want to restrict users from using the application, but not remove them completely from the system. In this case, you can mark them as inactive. Here’s how:
- Go to Settings and navigate to Users.Select the user by clicking their name.
- Click the three dot icon.
- Click Mark as Inactive.
- Click Mark as Inactive again.
Delete User
You can delete a user to completely remove them from your Vikra Seller organization. Here’s how:
- Go to Settings and navigate to Users.
- Select the user by clicking their name.
- Click the three dot icon.
- Click Delete and then click Delete again.
