Getting Started

Vikra Seller is a platform for sellers, where you can setup your online store to sell items, and have it listed among many others on the ONDC Network (Open Network for Digital Commerce) ONDC Network is an open network that allows buyers, sellers, and other service providers to be a part of the e-commerce space in India. Once the store setup is complete, the buyers can search and place an order from your online store as per their requirements.

Here’s how you can set up your store in a few steps:

  • Sign up for Vikra Seller from the landing page. You can start by filling out your store details.
Field Description
GST Number Enter a registered GST number. The PAN details will be auto-filled based on this GST number. You can use the same GST number for multiple stores under a single organisation.
Store Name Enter your store name.
Business Domain Select a business domain. This includes the type of products that you will be selling on your store. You can select multiple industries based on your business.
  • Select your preferred language, and click Continue.
  • Enter your store address. You can also choose the store location on the map with accurate coordinates that will auto-populate some of the address fields. You can manually fill out the rest of them.
  • Click Save and Continue.
  • Select your current POS and Online Store to help us cater to your requirements. This is optional, and you can choose to skip this.

Submit Your KYC

After creating the online store, you will have to provide KYC details and submit it for verification. This is done to ensure the credibility of your online store. To do so:

  • Click Add KYC Details.
  • Enter and upload the necessary details
Field Description
GSTN Username Enter your GSTN username to receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and attach the GST certificate for verification. Completing this step will result in quicker KYC verification. Enable API Access to receive the OTP on your registered mobile number.
PAN Details Attach your PAN Card. This will be used to verify your identity.
Address Details Upload your address details for verification. This may include your electricity bill or a rental agreement.
Bank Account Details Enter your bank details and upload a cancelled cheque, which is mandatory for the verification process. Once the verification is complete, all settlements will be made to this bank account.
FSSAI Details If your store deals with packaging and distribution of food items, you will have to enter your FSSAI Number, FSSAI Expiry Date, and FSSAI Certificate. This will be verified by the Vikra Seller team to ensure the item is in accordance with the food safety regulations.
Escalation Contact Details Enter contact details for the Vikra Seller’s operations team to reach out to you. These details are specifically for the Vikra Seller team, and will not be displayed to your buyers.
Store Contact Details Enter your store’s contact details to be listed on the buyer applications for the buyers to reach out to you.

After you have submitted all your KYC details, the verification process will begin and take some time to be completed. In the meantime, you can continue setting up your store.

Set Up Your Store Details

After you have submitted your KYC details for verification (or even after saving it as draft), you can move on to setting up your store details. Here’s how:

  • Go to Stores on the left sidebar and click Setup Store.

Enter Your Store Details

Field Description
Store Display Name Enter your store’s name. This will be displayed in Vikra Seller and in the buyer applications.
Store Logo Upload an image which is not more than 1 MB in size.
Short Description Enter a short description for your store. This could be something like a tagline for your store.
Long Description Enter a long description for your store. This could be an overview of your store.

Once you’re done filling these details, click Save & Next to proceed with setting up your store timings.

Store Timings

Select your store’s working days, holidays, and working hours. Once done, click Save & Next to proceed to the next section.

Field Description
24/7 Choosing this as your store timings indicates that your store will be functional throughout the day on all 7 days of the week
24 Hours This indicates that your store will be functional throughout the day but only on certain days of the week. Choose the days from the Working Days field.
Custom Custom store timings lets you create a specific day and time during which your store will remain functional
Working Days Select your store’s working days if you have chosen a preference other than 24/7
Working Hours Select your store’s working hours if you’re setting up custom timings for your store
Holidays Add holidays to indicate the days when your store will remain non-functional.

Convenience Fee

Every time a buyer orders something, there will be a small percentage of the amount added to it called the convenience fee. Based on your preference, you can decide who pays this.

Field Description
Store Owner Select this if you will be paying the convenience fee on behalf of the buyer
Buyer Select this if the buyer will be paying the convenience fee

After selecting your preference, click Save & Next to continue setting up your store.

Manage Sales Order Fulfilment

Once the order is placed by the buyer, it needs to be packed, shipped, and delivered. You can do this entire process by yourself, or rely on the ONDC Network to provide you with a delivery partner. Once you start receiving orders, you can see the order fulfilment details under Orders on the left sidebar.

Field Description
I need Vikra Seller to provide a logistics partner (On Network) Vikra Seller will help you find a logistics partner by fetching one from the ONDC Network. The logistics partner will handle the packing, shipping, and delivery of orders to the buyers.
I will handle the order fulfilment process by myself (Off Network) Choose this if you would be handling the delivery process by yourself, without relying on Vikra Seller for delivery partners.

Shipping Preferences

You can select the shipping range and shipping zones under shipping preferences.

Field Description
Maximum hours required to pack Enter the maximum hours required to pack an order. This will be displayed under the Store Details tab once you publish the store.
Pan India Choose this shipping range if you deliver across the country
By Radius Choose this shipping range to deliver within a certain distance
By Pin Choose this shipping range to deliver to one or more PIN codes or states.
Shipping Zones All the shipping zones created will be listed here. You can select the suitable ones from the list of all shipping zones. You can also create a new shipping zone by clicking + New Shipping Zone.

Add Opening Stock

You can start adding items that you will be selling on your store. Create a minimum of one item before you publish your store. If the KYC verification is taking longer than expected, you can continue adding multiple items. Once you are done entering all the details and the KYC verification is complete, you can publish your store and start selling.
